Nissan recalls 2004 maximas due to defective skyview roof 04v326000 recall details nissan has recalled 2004 maxima models equipped with skyview roofs because the glass for the roof may not have been quenched properly after the forming process resulting in temper imbalance. The 2000s were boom years for nissan after a decade of making also ran cars that never quite lived up to toyota and honda but still sold pretty well there was some sort of renaissance. The skyview does not open that is why i got a regular sunroof when i picked up my maxima.
