Nissan Navara Drivers Door Not Locking

I can hear the actuator operating in the door lock assembly but not actually locking the door.

The drivers side door fails to lock when the remote key is pressed. Does it work properly with the remote. 2007 nissan navara st x 4x2 v6 6 speed custom paint glasurit pure black with 5 blue pearl. Kinda figured that as the d40 only gets 1 door lock with akey hole and its not the drivers door lol has it got genuine remote central locking.

I have removed the drivers side seat in order to remove some of the door trim to get at the locking mechanism. If i press the central locking fob it locks all door apart from the drivers it arms the alarm and if i return to the vehicle after a minute pull the handle on the driver side door it opens and the alarm goes off any help appreciated pete. I am unable to unlock the drivers side door to my nissan patrol 2003. It is jammed and i cant open it using the key door handles from inside or outside.
