Nissan note door lock buzzing.

In some cars a door lock actuator becomes noisy and produces a squeaking or buzzing noise when the power door locks are locked or unlocked. Have owned the car for 3 months and it has not changed at all in this time. I can find nothing stated in the owners manual that this noise should occur. We have owned a nissan note 1 4se 2007 for about 3 months and throughout this time when locking the doors remotely there is a very loud buzzing noise which comes from the drivers door doors do lock and unlock ok. If the electric motor or the mechanism inside the door lock actuator wears out the door lock may lock or unlock slowly or work sometimes but not all the time. Is this an intentional audible confirmation of locking or is it a potential problem.
