Nissan Quest Sliding Door Stuck

In 2013 my passenger sliding door would not close electrically.

Took van to st charles nissan. It worked until september 2015 when it started doing the same thing again. Sliding doors don t open. They replaced a part that was paid for under my extended warranty.

Some vehicle manufacturers have had recalls for power sliding doors that open. The power sliding doors in my nissan quest 2004 require a very strong force to stop them once they are activated to close. The consequence was that neither of the sliding doors will open and the inside handles were not working either. Nothing was done to fix them even though i have the best extended warranty nissan offered door handles were not covered.

There is typically two operating buttons for a sliding rear window one on the driver side door and the other in the rear where the window is located. They allegedly un pinched the wire. Gerald nissan said a wire was pinch. Or it may not allow the door to move at all.

If you press either button the sliding door should open and close. In some cases a power sliding door can still be operated manually if the motor fails but in others the door might be stuck in place. My 4 year old son got hit by it on nov 11 2005 and almost got stuck between the door and the door frame. I have in many occasions being hit by the doors on the way to closing and only a very strong resistance can stop them.
