Anti seize is just a compound you apply to the threads of a nut bolt or fastener that is subject to high heat it actually prevents rust and corrosion so the next time you try to remove it it will come out much easier and have a less likely chance of breaking i have never used it on an 02 sensor but it is really good for exhaust bolts and wheel lugs.
It seems preferable to apply the compound directly to the sensor not the female threads to avoid contamination upon inserting the sensor.
